Careers - Tax Manager
What May Surprise You about Snyder Cohn:
At Snyder Cohn, you are more than a number. With over 75 employees, we don’t expect everyone to look a certain way, or work the same schedule or be interested in a “one size fits all” career path. We don’t push everyone to conform to a rigid structure - we value you as an individual. Working here, you simply have more control over your life than you would at larger public accounting firms. Our sophisticated document management system frees you to be productive working on your own schedule, from virtually anywhere.
Ours is a work environment without pretenses. What you see in the interview is what you see on the job. If you need to talk to a partner, you simply go see them. We don’t work with public companies and larger clients are not more valued than smaller clients. If you are curious, willing to learn from others, willing to be wrong occasionally, and willing to get involved, then you can really thrive here. We provide the perfect environment for your gifts to blossom – on your terms.
Your colleagues are authentic, candid, accessible, warm, friendly, and engaging. Many people chose to work here because they like the challenge, diversity and advancement opportunity of public accounting work, but felt like a number in a larger firm. At Snyder Cohn you’ll never get “lost in the shuffle” or feel like you are “managed by spreadsheet”.
At Snyder Cohn, you matter, but not just to us - you matter to our clients. Most of our long standing clients are closely held private companies. Over the years you will really get to know them; you will learn about their dreams and their families and they will take a similar interest in you. Because we retain our clients a long time, no matter what area you specialize in, you will enjoy working with the same clients regularly. Their needs will evolve, and your role may change, but the bonds of trust that you forge will only grow stronger, and your relationships deeper. You will earn the role of trusted advisor - you become their “wingman.” Many of our employees report that long-lasting client relationships is one of the most satisfying aspects of working with Snyder Cohn.
