Special Interests/Projects

Joel is responsible for managing the tax team.  He informs the firm with regard to current tax law changes and provides quality control for tax preparation and tax advice for the firm.  He represents clients before the IRS in areas of income and estate taxes including representation before the Appeals Division and Collections Branch. Joel also serves as an expert witness in areas of taxation and other accounting matters. Some of his special projects and interests include:

  • Consulting regarding purchase/sale of businesses 
  • Admission of new owners/partners into businesses 
  • Retirement planning and estate planning 
  • Review of partnership agreements, tax issues and IRS audits
  • Speaker and panel leader for a variety of accounting and tax seminars.
